#1. The Princess Bride

This is a story told by a grandfather to his grandson, that follows a man named, Westley, on his way to rescue Princess Buttercup from having to marry Prince Humperdink, the villain in this story. On his quest, he has to defeat a band of misfits who have been hired to kill Princess Buttercup via the Prince's orders. He initially rescues her, but then they are captured. The band of misfits is backstabbed by the prince's men resulting in them befriending and teaming up with Westley for revenge, and the ultimate rescuing of Princess Buttercup.  

There is no doubt in my mind that Malcolm would love this story as it's main character illustrates all the qualities held by a good and righteous man. The chivalrous aspect is one thing that Malcolm would appreciate greatly. Furthermore, there is a secondary plot that Malcolm would feel very drawn to. This would be the plot of Inigo Montoya, who throughout the movie spouts out the phrase, "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Malcolm would have felt really connected to this character as he too wanted to kill the man who killed his father; this man being Macbeth. 

#2. The Great British Baking Show

This is a show that follows a very friendly baking competition among Britain's best and youngest bakers. The show begins with 12 bakers and every week, for 10 weeks, they are put up to a new challenge where eliminations happen, and everyone holds together their composure. This show illustrated the best baking Britain has to offer as well. 

Malcolm would have loved this show as he is a man who can appreciate the polite and respectful manner in which the competition is conducted. Furthermore, Malcolm, after having fled to England and being under the care of the king, would have learned to love the delicacies of British food. Thus, he might even use the power he holds in England during this time to request some of what he saw on the show for himself.

#3. White House Down

The movie begins with a divorced dad taking his daughter to the white house for a tour, where he is hopefully going to get a job working in the secret service. Upon his interview, he is told that he was unfit for the job, but that he could continue the White House tour with his daughter. While trying to return the tour group the White House is overrun with terrorists who are seeking the President and "The Football", which is essentially the laptop that can launch nuclear missiles. The tour group ends up being held hostage to leverage the President into disclosing the location and code to "The Football". The father goes about trying to save both the President and his daughter using the variety of skills he would have implemented in the Secret Service had he gotten the job. The end with the realization that the Vice President had ordered the attack on the White House as well as the saving of both the daughter and the President of the United States.

Malcolm would love this movie as it demonstrates a high degree of patriotism towards one's country and fighting for the things you love and want. Malcolm would know what this feels like as he prepared to fight Macbeth, the terrorist, to both save his beloved country and to get the job he always wanted. This movie plays to the ambition of Malcolm, which happens to be a very strong personal feeling towards the end of the play.

#4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

This movie follows the adventures of Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr. and his father Henry Jones Sr. as they search for The Holy Grail. Together they work to oppose Nazis who are also in search of The Holy Grail. Both together and separately they work out a series of clues to get them to the location of The Holy Grail. Indy's father ultimately gets captured by the Nazis, who force him to lead them to the entrance of The Holy Grail. Indy, in an attempt to save his father, meets up with them and solves the series of booby traps to gain entrance to the vault housing The Holy Grail. He gains entry where there is an immense amount of cups to choose from. The final task was to guess the right cup, and before the Nazi leader chose a cup, he shot Indy's father. The leader ultimately chose the wrong cup and died a magical death, but Indy chooses the right cup. Upon finding the right cup he gives his dying father a drink, who is magically saved. This is essentially where the story ends.

Malcolm would very much enjoy this story as it balances a few of his loves. One being that he appreciated working with and for his father, especially in the battle against the traitors at the beginning of the play. Secondly, the focus on puzzles and clues to reach The Holy Grail would have inevitable fascinated this man as he was a thinker. The educated Malcolm would have found great joy in learning new things from the movie, as well as, attempting to solve the puzzles himself. Finally, Malcolm would have enjoyed this movie as he is a pious and devout Christian man, as he defies the kingly stereotype that kings only show their religion and don't actually believe it. The presence of such an important Christian artifact and how many of the clues are rooted in ancient Christian texts would have undoubtedly caught his attention and played to a dream of almost all Christians; that being to have the actual artifacts of Jesus.

#5. Bert Kriescher: The Machine

This is a comedy special in which a man names Bert Kreischer tells funny life stories revolving around partying, sex, run-ins with the Russian Mafia, and fighting a bear. His collection of vulgar stories are coupled with some very funny profanity-filled descriptions leads his audience to seldom stop laughing. This is all not to mention how he always performs without his shirt on, showing a little bit more skin than what's normal. However, that's his nature. He pushes boundaries and defies what is socially acceptable regularly.

Malcolm would have watched this comedy special to use as a resource in attempting to make himself seem unfit for the throne of Scotland. He could have easily used some of Kriescher's stories and mannerisms to trick Macduff into thinking that he is, in fact, worse than Macbeth. Malcolm would have strictly used this special to learn how exactly an immoral person acts, never as actual entertainment, because he is in fact too pious and chaste to think any of his jokes or stories as funny.
